Skin Care ProductsFinding the best skin care products for you depends on the type of skin you have. There are four main skin types - normal, dry, oily and combination, and products are sold to deal with each. Most people have normal skin. That's why it's called normal. This type of skin has no real, persistent problems. Dry skin feels tight and is often flaky and dull looking. Oily skin is usually shiny with large pores and is prone to breakouts. Combination skin exhibits symptoms of each skin type. If you have combination skin, you may have an oily t-zone and dry or normal cheeks. If you have normal skin you can use almost any type of skin care. If you have dry skin, you'll want to look for moisturizing products. And if you have oily skin, you'll want to use skin care products that are light, water-based and oil-free. There are products made for combination skin as well. Even thought all skin care
products say that they are designed for one skin type
or another, they won't necessarily work for you. Everyone is different
and you may have to try several skin care products before you find one
that you like. But if you have a serious skin problem that
won't go away, consult your doctor, not the drugstore shelf. |
